🥩 Beef Fried Rice (Sri Lankan Style)
Ingredients:

3 cups cooked long-grain rice (cooled)

250g beef (thinly sliced, marinated with 1 tsp soy sauce, ½ tsp pepper, pinch of salt)

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)

2 tbsp oil (vegetable or sesame)

2 eggs (beaten)
-
1 medium onion (sliced)
-
2 garlic cloves (chopped)
-
1-inch ginger (grated)
-
1 carrot (finely chopped)
-
½ cup leeks (sliced)
-
½ cup cabbage (shredded)
-
½ cup bell peppers (red/green, sliced)
-
2–3 green chilies (sliced)
-
½ tsp black pepper powder
-
Salt to taste

Spring onion or coriander for garnish
Method:

Cook beef: Heat oil in a wok, stir-fry beef until browned and cooked through. Set aside.

Scramble eggs: In the same wok, pour beaten eggs, scramble lightly, and push aside.

Stir-fry veggies: Add onion, garlic, ginger, chilies, and vegetables. Fry until fragrant.

Add rice & sauces: Mix in rice, soy sauce, oyster sauce, pepper, and salt. Stir-fry on high heat.

Combine beef & garnish: Add cooked beef back, toss well, garnish with spring onion or coriander.
👉 Serve with chili paste or devilled beef/chicken for a true Sri Lankan touch.
